St John's Church, Knaresborough, Cheese and Wine evening

Sat, 29 Feb 2020
As part of Knaresborough St. John’s Church social events programme the church hall was the venue for a marvellous evening of entertainment provided by the Harrogate Harmony Barbershop Chorus on Saturday 29th February 2020.

The sellout audience enjoyed hearing and singing along with familiar tunes from the last fifty years including, Country Roads, When I’m 64, Hello Mary Lou, Ain’t Misbehaving and On the Sunny Side of the Street.

While the guests enjoyed their wine and cheese, the programme included an amusing monologue and a delightful solo of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s song, ‘Love Changes Everything’ from the musical, ‘Aspects of Love.’ The entertainment was further enhanced when the chorus’s ukulele quartet, the Misspent Ukes, performed the Everly Brothers’ song, Dream, followed by a Sing-along Medley and the well known George Formby song, Leaning on a Lamppost.
